There are several ways you can help send a young musician or singer to a summer music camp. We gladly accept checks, but for some of you, writing a check, addressing an envelope, and locating a stamp is too time consuming or just flat-out "old school." Often these companies partner with other companies who actually administer the matching grant program for them. Our organization is already registered with Benevity, Network for Good, Your Cause, Cybergrants, Schwab Charitable, United Way, and EasyMatch.

Music Lessons for
Young Musicians through
Long Beach Gives
September 19, 2024
We are excited to share with you that Arrowbear Music Associates once again participated with over 200 non-profits in Long Beach Gives on September 19, 2024. What does that mean? It means that many more alumni and supporters of music education had the opportunity to donate to help young Long Beach musicians receive private music lessons during the school year.
Our Scholarship Committee has noted how many of the young musicians who apply for a scholarship do not have the benefit of private music lessons. Their families just can’t afford the expense of weekly lessons that cost anywhere from $25 to $60 each. We decided to try to help meet this need.
This was the third year we partnered with the music teachers of Long Beach Unified to identify young musicians who would flourish musically with the support of private lessons. Our goal was to raise $5,000 to pay for private lessons for as many students as we can for the 2024-2025 school year. We are currently supporting private lessons for 16 middle school-age students and eight high school-age students. We didn't reach our goal, but we're grateful to the donors who helped us raise $2,235.32 for this scholarship program.
This year's event was on September 19, 2024,
but you can donate to this program at any time during the year.
Just let us know you'd like your donation to be
applied to this scholarship program.
